Tresaith
Popular with families due to its golden sand and safe bathing, Tresaith beach also has a rather unique feature of a small waterfall that crashes down onto the rocks at the North end of the beach. Listed as one of the 10 most child friendly beaches in Wales by The Telegraph in 2018. It is considered one of the best beaches for spotting dolphins.

Parking: Limited parking near the beach including spaces for the disabled. But there is a car park operating on an honesty basis on the road to Aberporth, just past the sign to Glandwr Yoga Centre but it’s easy to miss the small car park sign.

Dog Policy: Dogs are restricted to a section of the beach between 1st May and 30th September.

Aberporth
Two sandy sheltered beaches with rock pools exposed at low tide. The smaller beach (Dolwen) Has lifeguards on patrol and is a great Beach for young children.

Parking: There is parking available for 50 cars. There is a charge for using the car park. Free road parking on the hill up to the school.

Dog Policy: Dog are not allowed on the larger, eastern section of beach (Dyffryn) between 1 May and 30 September. However, dogs are welcome on the western part of the beach all year, and the whole beach throughout the rest of the year.

Penbryn
Penbryn is owned by the National Trust. The beach is almost a mile in length. There is a turning circle and dropping off point at the beach edge for disabled visitors but otherwise the beach is approached by either a small road or a pleasant footpath through the woods.

Parking: There is a National Trust car park and cafe near the beach.

Dog Policy: Dogs are allowed on Penbryn beach to the right of the river all year round. The other side of the beach, which is owned by the National Trust has a dog ban between 1st May and 30th September.

Llangrannog
Llangrannog beach is a family friendly stretch of sand which has lifeguards over the summer months. As well as being ideal for all the usual beach activities and bathing, The Beach is popular for watersports including surfing. You can also go sailing here and due to the fresh winds in the area and the slipway.

Parking: Next to the beach or there is a car park above the village ,with a shuttle service down to the beach in Summer.

Dog Policy: Dogs are banned to the west of the stream on the beach from 1st May to 30th September

Cwmtydu
Once a smugglers cove Cwmtydu lies to the south of New Quay. The Beach is predominantly shingle with a stream, backed by a deep wooded valley and surrounded by high pastures.
It is considered one of the best beaches for spotting seals.

Mwnt
A beautiful sheltered sandy cove owned by the National Trust and voted Number 1 of Europe’s secret beaches by The Daily Mail. This popular beach is off the beaten track but can still get busy in the height of summer. The steps leading to the beach make it unsuitable for pushchairs/wheelchairs. Swimming conditions are considered safe but there is no lifeguard.

Parking: £4 per Day, free to National Trust members, machine only takes coins,no cards.

Poppit
Poppit is undoubtedly one of the most popular beaches in the area. It is a glorious and vast stretch of sand overlooking Cardigan island and backed by dunes. It can get windy.

Parking: Large pay & display car park next to the cafe.

Dog Policy: Dogs are allowed on much of the beach but are banned from the western section of the beach from May 1st to September 30th.

New Quay
There is a good selection of places to eat and drink in addition to plenty of organised tours and walks to go on, the most popular of which are the boat trips to watch the seals and dolphins of the Cardigan Bay Special Area of Conservation. Harbour beach, with its deep golden sands and secluded harbour, offers both bathing and boating facilities. New Quay South Beach is adjacent to the Ceredigion Coast Path and the Wales Coast Path.
